Notes

Mathias Hainitz

Church Record: Death Book 4, 1730-1784, p. 133, Weiten Parish, Lower Austria, Austria; St. Pölten Diocese Archives.

Civil Record: Inventursprotokoll, 2 May 1752, KG-Krems, Herrschaft Pöggstall 173, book 90, pp. 384-385; NÖLA, St. Pölten, Austria.

Church Record: Baptism Book 3, 1698-1730, p. 243, Weiten Parish, Lower Austria, Austria; St. Pölten Diocese Archives. (Appears as a parent in this entry.)

Note: Mathias reportedly died at age 80 years. He may have moved from Zehentegg to Laufenegg in 1694 with his first marriage, but this is not certain. No Hainitz family members were located in Maria Laach am Jauerling Parish baptismal records 1624-1680 (1628-1635 baptisms missing) nor from 1707-1719. Zehentegg was a part of Maria Laach am Jauerling during this time period. Michael Maurer & Barbara of Troibetsberg witnessed all of Mathias & Maria's children's baptisms and known marriages. Michael does have a younger sister by the name of Maria, but she appears to be born several years too early to be Mathias' wife as it would have required Maria to bear her last child at age 52 1/2 years. No Hainitz/Kainitz enteries were located in Mühldorf-Niederranna Parish baptism, death or marriage books.

Martha Schreckenfux

Civil Record: Inventursprotokoll, 8 Jan 1706, KG-Krems, Herrschaft Pöggstall 173, book 86, p. 386; NÖLA, St. Pölten, Austria.

Note: The above cited entry states that Martha had died and that Mathias was believed soon to follow her, however he must have revived to live to age 80 years. Her death entry was not located in Weiten Parish records.

Johann Hainitz

Church Record: Marriage Book 2, 1664-1698, p. 554, Weiten Parish, Lower Austria, Austria; St. Pölten Diocese Archives. (Appears as a parent in this entry.)

Note: Above entry identifies Johannes' place of residence in 1694 as Zehentegg. It appears to be a part of Maria Laach am Jauerling Parish until the 1770s when entries can be found in both Weiten and Maria Laach parishes. Zehentegg became a part of Raxendorf Parish on January 1, 1779, but entries can still be found in Weiten Parish records past that date. One source states that it became a part of Heiligenblut Parish in 1784. Johann and Rosina's death entries were not located in Mara Laach am Jauerling Parish records through 1703. Johann was not recorded in the Grundbücher which cover Zehentegg from 1628-1711. No Hainitz/Kainitz enteries have been located in Mühldorf-Niederranna Parish baptism, death or marriage books.
